About the Instructor: Meet Xara Flame (she/her), the passionate force behind DG Studio 77, Montreal’s premier pole dance school with a legacy spanning over two decades. Xara’s dance journey, ignited during her childhood gymnastics days, has flourished into 14 years of pole dance experience. Xara is a multifaceted specialist, holding qualifications that span beyond the dance realm. She’s not only an accomplished pole dancer but also a certified group fitness instructor, personal trainer and corrective conditioning specialist. Her expertise extends to the realms of nutrition, corrective conditioning, and psychology, as she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from McGill University. Xara’s background in psychology lends depth to her teaching approach, understanding the psychology behind skill progression and personal growth. Her dedication to creating a safe space for all students to thrive and explore their potential is unwavering. But there’s more to Xara’s repertoire; she also offers tarot readings and approaches witchcraft through a scientific and psychological lens, enhancing her holistic approach to personal development. Suggested Materials: 

  • Comfortable dance attire, T-shirt, sports bra or tank top, and shorts are ideal, remember skin = grip so more skin is better, specially on legs
  • Personal towel for body sweat and rag for wiping pole

Required Knowledge: No prior knowledge or skills are required. This course is designed for beginners, offering a step-by-step progression into the world of pole dance.
