Course description: The Latin & Ballroom Dance class will focus on having fun dancing with a partner! All partnerships are welcome! All you need is a pilot and a co-pilot; one partner will learn the leader’s steps and the other the follower’s steps. Leading / following is the key to success. Learning movement skills on great music with social dance combinations and figures. All classes will help you develop ease and comfort in social dancing and be able to practice outside of class. Salsa, Bachata, Chacha, Waltz and many more. Dancing is FUN FUN FUN and dancing with a partner is magic

About the Instructor: Marie is a professional dancer, signer and dance teacher with 40 years experience. Performing in more than 3000 shows over 4 continents. She has studied in Montreal, New York and Paris. She holds a diploma from the Canadian Dance Teacher’s Association with the mention Highly Commended. Her greatest happiness and highest achievement in life is the ability to stir in students the joy of dance that animates her life. Whether it is Waltz, Cha Cha, Broadway or Tap there is no more euphoric experience than moving your body through space to great music.
Marie believes that everyone can enjoy dancing and have their life enhanced through dance. In her classes, she aims to inspire joy, teach technique and introduce choreography in the context of laughter and fun. While she will guide and correct, she would not make her students feel self-conscious or criticized.
Dance and music have been her life’s work and enduring passion. Nothing brings Marie more satisfaction than sharing that passion with her students. For that reason, at the end of every class she will say: “Thank you for dancing with me.”
