Course Description: The purpose of this course is to offer some insight into practical application of basic rudimentary theory. Wish you knew more about music so you can pursue it either casually…or just enough to write some songs? Wouldn’t it be neat to understand a piece of music you go to see, such as an opera, a little better? Through this course you will go over techniques that will help you identify what key you’re in, explore how to tailor a piece of music more to your vocal range, how to jam better with other musicians, and so much more! The focus of this class is to present music as something to enjoy and ultimately instill a richer love for the art form.
