Course Description: This course will explain the ins and outs of the media landscape and how to write for the different mediums (television, radio, web, and print). Students will learn how to craft speeches, press releases, memos and social media posts. While gaining first-rate knowledge of the broadcast industry, you will have the chance to write described video scripts, radio dramas, and craft content for marketing and advertising campaigns!

About the Instructor: Christopher is a multimedia storyteller with over a decade of experience. He is a radio broadcasting graduate with additional coursework in journalism and political science. Christopher has worked as a professor, desktop publisher, emcee, editor and freelancer, and is currently working as a web producer for the Cable Public Affairs Channel (CPAC). He creates live YouTube streams while editing multimedia content and writing accessible editorial copy. For nearly two years he has served as a described video writer,  making media equal for all audiences. Christopher has also researched several genres while writing concise scripts within a short time frame, and has worked as a webcast director for the Ottawa Gee Gees and as a PA announcer for the Carleton Ravens. All of these work and educational experiences have honed his skills as a storyteller and communicator.
