Course Description: This course is aimed at those for whom French is a completely new language, and who wish to learn a few basic elements in order to understand and produce simple sentences. This course will teach you basic vocabulary, grammar and verbs, which will be useful in your day-to-day life!
About the Instructor: Melissa Moskovitz is from Montreal. Her educational background is in the social sciences and humanities. She studied psychology, world religions, world literature, cultures and education. Melissa has experience working as a tutor in elementary and high schools, and I has also taught French to adults. She is multilingual and enjoys teaching French in a relaxed and fun manner that ensures the comfort of her students in the classroom. She believes learning a new language can be very stressful, so students need to feel that the material is enjoyable and learnable. Her motto is: “Seeking truth and freedom is essential to clarity in life, and learning and change are key elements for a successful life. Nothing ever comes easy”.
Required Materials: Notebook and pen/pencil or laptop/tablet.
Suggested Materials: French/English Dictionary and a Bescherelle.
