Course Description: The course Basics of Personal Taxes will help you navigate everything income tax. You will learn how your income is taxed, and how the tools available to you can help you save. Topics covered: How to get started with your taxes, registered investment plans and how they work (TFSA, RSP, RESP…), Student loans, CERB, and a lot more.
About the Instructor(s):
Kevin Bianchini | Partner: Kevin advises Canadian corporations, owner-operated businesses, individuals, accounting firms and foreign enterprises on tax planning and related corporate and commercial details. He also advises on tax issues related to income tax and provincial goods and services tax. He represents clients before tax courts, Revenue Québec and the Canada Revenue Agency. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a graduate diploma in tax from the University of Montreal. He was admitted to the Quebec bar in 2009.
Noah Weinstein | Lawyer: Noah advises clients on matters of taxation, including: corporate tax, estate and trust administration, wealth management and tax disputes. Prior to joining the Tax Group, Noah was both a summer student and articling student at BLG. Noah holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Montreal. He was admitted to the Quebec bar in 2019 and is currently completing his Master in Tax (M.Tax) at Sherbrook University.
Michel Rhéaume | Articling Student: Michel assists lawyers on matters of taxation. Prior to joining the Tax Group, Michel was a tax law student in an accounting firm for two summers. He also held a research assistant position and was a tutor at the University of Ottawa. Michel holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.L.) and is currently completing his Master in Tax Law (LL.M. Tax) at the University of Montreal. He is currently completing his articling.
